Title order research
When researching the titles in opening sequence we found out that the amount of titles varies from film to film, some may only have the title while other could have up to around 20. When choosing how many we wanted to took into the length of our intro and were exactly they would fit in, our decision was largely based around the placement of the title.

Saw has only 4 titles as it mainly focus on the situation as unlike most horror intro it introduces the main characters straight away rather than having "Sites of activity" in the introduction that only purpose is to be killed.

In this case before the title is shown they show a single cast member this is because he is far more of an established actor than the rest of cast and his name is very noticeable. The rest of the main cast come after the title while other actors like extras if given credit will me mentioned in the end credits. While the writer and director always come last,in this case the writer and director are the same person.

Like most the distribution and production companies come first, but unlike sixth sense and saw they have put in line producer, this is probably due to the fact that they have included more titles as the style of the intro like "the sixth sense" is much more suited for a lot titles unlike the saw intro.

As Halloween 4 is a franchise and this film is one of the sequels they have included the title "story by", this is giving credit to the person who created the franchise but didn't necessarily have anything to do with the production of this film. Another example of this is Wes Craven and The Nightmare on elm street series(1984-2010) in which during the credits it would say "character inspired by Wes Craven". One thing they have included is "Halloween theme by" this is separate from the music as they have a very distinctive and recognisable soundtrack which is done by a single person for each film.

We chose a less amount of titles as our introduction was a linear story and therefore it was more focused on its relevance to the story rather than the titles themselves. we also only mentioned the cast in our opening sequence rather than making up names that would be in the final film, we did this to lessen the amount of titles that we would have to put in as we didn't want titles in every shot as we felt it would be to much of a distraction.
