The Making Of...
Here are all our films we produced while conducting our research into different aspects of a horror OTS. This research is very important as it allows us to create our own opening title sequence to a high standard. Please enjoy these clips, however if you would like more information click the link provided.

Production CompanyThis is our Production Company Logo entitled 'Purgatory Films.' The production company is the people who create the film. Therefore the logo is usually associated with the film it was made for. This is why we chose to link our production company with a forest theme, similar to our OTS idea.

Distribution CompanyOur Distribution Company is appropriately named 'Regional Distributions.' The distribution company is the people who put the film out into the public eye. The logo is usually associated with global imagery, in order to give the impression that it involves everybody. This is why we chose to use iconic images that link with the Earth.

Blood WorkshopWe conducted some research into creating fake blood that is also edible and realistic. This was very messy and a lot of fun to do. It also helped us decided what the best type of blood is to use in our OTS. Please follow the link bellow for more information about how to make fake blood.

Chroma KeyOne of our first tasks was to learn the art of Chroma Key, or GreenScreening. This is the idea of filming in front of a green background and replacing it with an image or clip. As this was our first attempt at filming the quality of the clip isn't as good as some of the other, more experienced, clips we produced later.

First Horror AttemptThis was our first attempt of filming a horror. We were asked to include several different camera shots within the sequence, such as a close up on fear and a high and low angle shot. We also had to have a storyline that included a killer and a victim.

Preliminary TaskThe Preliminary task was a particularly important task as it was our first attempt at using the 180 degree line to film a conversation. We also had to learn about specific camera shots we needed to use in order for our shots to be correct.
