Initial Practice Shots
Since neither me, Will or Nathan had taken media before, this was our first time filming. There were many reasons why this was good to start with. It let us mess around with different camera angles to see what we found effective and also what we thought looked good, a couple of these shots were the close ups and the over the shoulder. It was also good to see that neither of us was very good at acting, this came in to play when we chose the male lead. It also helped us with practicing with the editing software that we used, this meant we knew what we were doing when it came to our final piece.
This gave us even more experience then our first time filming. This time we got to try out a lot more different camera angles, such as long shots and high and low angle shots. This time we also got the chance to play around with the colour correction. It also gave us a chance to play around with a lot more features that final cut pro had to offer. It also showed what ideas worked meaning we could use them again in our opening title sequence, and it also showed us what doesn't work and what we should avoid.

This was the first attempt at filming our final piece, when choosing our leading actress we came to a decision whether we chose Alice of Emily. To decide we took both them out to film the first part of our sequence and then would decide on the one we prefer. In the end we chose Emily due to her superior acting skills and better chemistry with the male lead. We also chose Emily as the film we got with her was much better quality than the one we filmed originally.(W.T)
